Delta is the most socially responsible company in Serbia second year in a row

13. december 2018.

Delta Holding is awarded for the most socially responsible company in Serbia in 2018 by the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM). This is the second time in a row that our company has been declared the most responsible to the community, employees, partners, environment.

Among many other things, Delta Holding launched Delta Biznis Incubator in 2018, an innovative program to support startups. Through the project Plantation for the Future grants were given and expert assistance was provided for nine social enterprises from nine municipalities in Serbia. Project Fund for the Future provided scholarships and organized professional training for 40 young people from poor families.

„All the projects that we have implemented are strategically based on our business. Through practice and through many conversations with different groups of people, we have received confirmation that knowledge is what they lack most to achieve their goals. By awarding Delta for two years in a row, we see it as a great recognition and great commitment. Therefore, we are already announcing that in 2019 we will be even better, more innovative and more inspiring" said Tijana Koprivica, Chief Business Sustainability Officer of Delta Holding during the SAM award ceremony at the BelExpo Center in Belgrade.

The SAM Awards are given for seven years to managers, companies, individuals and initiatives advocating for the improvement of the business environment, affirmation and promotion of the managerial profession, for sustainable ethical and socially responsible business, the development of leadership among young people, and for the better life of all citizens. Awards are given in order to promote excellence and encourage competitiveness, creativity and leadership in management and in the various spheres of business and social life.

SAM is an association that gathers over 450 professional managers, who manage teams of over 90,000 employees and who have an annual turnover of nearly 12 billion euros.
