Delta Maxi donated 2,700,000 Dinars to the National Association of Parents of Cancer Children (NURDOR), as a result of the just completed event “1 Dinar for children sick with malign illnesses”.
During the month of February, in each retail store of Delta Maxi Group, one Dinar was set aside from every “Premia” product in favor of the NURDOR Association. The donation will be used to carry out the project of providing psychological and social help to children sick with malign illnesses and their families.
Brand name “Premia” is a private brand name of Delta Maxi Group and includes about one hundred most popular products from all product groups: milk and dairy products, processed meat, condiments, eggs, flour, oil, juices, frozen products… “Premia” products are the least expensive on the market, thanks to saving on advertizing, packaging and other expenses which do not influence product’s quality in any way.
Delta Maxi also financially supported printing of 1,000 copies of the Book of Hope which tells 15 true confessions of children who were cured from malign illnesses. The Book of Hope will be sold in the most visited retail stores in the future, and the proceeds will also go to NURDOR.
“1 Dinar for…” effort will continue during the month of March, with the only difference that all proceeds will go to the Home for Children and Youth “Petar Radovanovic” in Uzice. This new effort is being carried out in coordination with the Delta Humanitarian Fund and as a part of the group of projects “Delta Third Parent” which aim at improving the quality of life of children without parental care who live in homes, foster homes and incomplete families.
Daily paper Politika covered both of these initiatives. Every day during February, Politika published excerpts from the Book of Hope and informed about the initiative. New initiative intended for children without parental care will also be covered in the media by publishing articles about the new initiative, the home from Uzice and confessions of children from the Home.
