In 2006, Delta Holding and international insurance company Generali Group launched a joint strategic partnership, which resulted in the creation of the largest private insurance corporation in Serbia – Delta Generali Osiguranje.

Delta Generali Osiguranje has 55 branches across Serbia and employs 2,200 members of staff.In 2009, the company had a total market share of 20 per cent in Serbia. Delta Generali Osiguranje furthermore owns 80 million Euros in insurance premiums.

The Generali Pension Fund grew to 8.77 million Euros in 2007 and current membership stands at a total of over 45,000 members. In 2007 alone, over 11,000 new members joined the Fund.

Delta Generali Osiguranje has expanded business operations in the region, as laid out in its long term strategic vision. Besides Montenegro, Delta Generali Osiguranje has been established in Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and plans to expand into other interesting regional markets.

The expected premium for 2009 is 112 million Euros.

Regional Expansion

Delta Generali Osiguranje has expanded business operations in the region, as laid out in its long term strategic vision. Besides Montenegro, Delta Generali Osiguranje has been established in Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and plans to expand into other interesting regional markets. In light of the good business performances shown in Serbia, the Generali Group decided to conduct the expansion of their businesses in the entire Balkan region through Serbian subsidiary Delta Generali.
